Air Fried Chicken Tenders
Panko-coated chicken tenders turn crisp in the air fryer. Serve them with your favorite dipping sauce.
Makes: 8 servings
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup egg whites
- 1½ cups panko breadcrumbs
- 2 lb chicken tenders or boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into strips
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Avocado oil spray or olive oil spray
- BBQ sauce for dipping
Directions
- Season chicken with salt and pepper.
- In two separate shallow bowls, add egg whites to one, and panko bread crumbs to the other bowl.
- Dip chicken in egg whites, then in panko. Shake off excess and place in a separate dish until ready to air fry.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F. Cook the chicken in batches, lightly spraying both sides with oil. Air-fry for about 5–6 minutes per side, until golden and the thickest tender reaches 165°F. Serve with BBQ sauce.
